Fundamental equity analyst with a PhD in business administration. Independent coverage centers on the AI value chain. Primary focus on semiconductors, with adjacent work on AI infrastructure and power. Occasional deep-dives in healthcare and defense when specific names warrant coverage.
Each investment report defines an entry range, a 12-month target, a downside scenario, and pre-committed exit conditions before entry. Valuation work uses DCF, replacement-cost, and segment-aware SOTP frameworks.
Prior research at the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), the institute behind Korea's corporate governance code and Korea Exchange thematic index ratings.
Currently based in New York.

I am a fundamental equity analyst. My coverage centers on the AI value chain, with semiconductors as the primary focus and adjacent work on AI infrastructure and power. Healthcare and defense names enter the coverage only when a specific valuation dislocation warrants the work.
Each report contains an explicit entry range, target price, and downside scenario. Coverage is built from primary filings, earnings transcripts, and peer comparisons by business segment. I publish full-length investment reports.
Prior to independent research, I was an Associate Research Fellow at the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), the capital markets institute behind the country's corporate governance code and the ratings used in Korea Exchange thematic indices, where I covered 2,500+ listed companies and led a six-person research team.
I graduated in three years with a BA in Economics and Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and later focused my graduate studies on the intersection of equity valuation, M&A, and disclosure effects on firm value, earning an MS and PhD in Business Administration from Seoul National University.
